JUNE - LOVELY FLOWERS, DELICIOUS FRUIT AND VEGETABLES

My first blog since April, that’s how busy May was, what a crazy month for herbs & vegetables at Green Farm. With CV19 and all it’s restrictions I just did not know what to expect, however, I need not have worried, demand was very strong and for that I am very grateful to all my customers for supporting me through this very difficult time.

It became evident that the nation was gripped by the home cooking phenomena, sales in herbs was extremely high, their health benefits are very apparent and a perhaps a solace to us all in these times of great distress and sadness.

Customers stressed they felt safe at Green Farm, the nursery is outdoors in the fresh air, we imposed the Government regulations and visits were by appointment with an allocated time slot, it worked very well.

Hopefully a little more normality is returning, however, the Farmers’ Markets remain suspended for the time being. I have been pleasantly surprised by the quantity of plants I have sold, next year I intend to widen my availability of herbs and vegetable plants as my customers crave interesting and unusual varieties.

My current supply of plants are looking good, plenty of healthy growth, some with colour now, a good many with colour to come during summer and in to the autumn.

A sincere thank you to everyone who has supported us so far during this challenging year. I really do appreciate it.
